Ok here is the last of the updates to get current:
My son Ian (8 years old!) welding in a bracket to hold a later (shorter) middle seat in.

Masking off the bus to spray some "Hot Rod Black" to even out the color and paint over the Klassic Fab green.

My makeshift sidedraft paint booth: An open window in the side with furnace filter taped in to let air in, and the doorway taped up with a plastic sheet and a hole in the bottom for a fan and another furnace filter to push the air out.
Bumpers hanging on my powder coating rack (now a painting rack). Plastic sheets cover my dusty shelves, and I sprayed down the floor before I started.

Out of the booth. I don't like it! Waaay too glossy and shows all the dents much worse. Also I had a horrible time with the paint (I've never sprayed this before and I have a new gun I am unfamiliar with.) To make matters worse as I was finally figuring it out, I ran out of paint before I got a second coat. I'm ashamed to even put these up with the awesome painters here! Hey at least I got the semaphores working on 6 volts.

Lisa helping me tape off the bus for some more hotrod inspired paint

The next day at the Strand after camping in Galveston for the annual "Bulli Gras" Texas Coalition of Buses

So that's what the bus looks like this week, except for a different exhaust and an Allstate single wheel trailer that I finished tonight (no pics yet).
See y'all at Fredricksburg!!!
