Anyone have the new empi BRM's? what are you using for lugs? I have the studs that are really too long and go into the drums too far. I'd like to use lug bolts, maybe BMW?

I have a feeling that you will have to grind down the lugs. I pulled my drums off, mounted the BRM,s on the drums and then ground off anything that stuck out past the drum. This way your threads will still work.

I started to do that, but what a PITA. Not to mention, pulling the lugs out afterwards if need be, will fuck the threads up. Just need to find the right lug bolts. Discount tire has conical seat lug bolts, but nothing short enough

As far as screwing up the threads goes, I did it on all 4 drums and I did not screw up any of the threads in the drum. I guess I was lucky ;) .

the drum is harder than the bolt, the only way it will do damage is if the threads are rusty and weak already, I did mine the same way and it was not a problem at all

I found out that belt sander works badass at grinding down bolts, I used one to shorten my 911 swivel adjusters, the threads were completely undamaged.

Doug I'll be there in the morning, prepare for a walt wakeup ;)
