Ok this is almost funny.
I took the carb. out of the bucket of simple green....yes I use simple green, it works!
I blew out every nook hole and cranny (whats a cranny?) with the air gun.
Reassembled carb, but I see a threaded hole near the top of the carb. with nothing to thread into it.
I looked in my little cup that I had put all the little carb. parts into while disassembling. *uck nothing in there.....where the *uck is it.

Then I started thinking...I don't even remember taking that part out.
So I referred to the carb. breakdown sheet, #25 on the attachment.

now I'm thinking this must have come out while doing 70mph for and hour on my way home Sunday.
So I started looking around the engine compartment.....and there it was way in the back under the alternator.
I won't bore you how long it took to find it and get out of it's hiding place.
Oh....car runs fine now!
