Would there be any interest in participating in a drag day sometime in Sept/Oct timeframe?

Yes, Baytown. While the logistics need to be done, this is just to measure the temp in the interest of having one. While too hot now, the Sept/Oct might be right for it.

Since it's at baytown, is it going to be a VW only thing or are we going to be mixed in with the mustangs and vettes? Many atimes I have been out there on street car fridays and only got 2 maybe 3 passes in a 4-5 hour timespan.

In the past, we try to run together but that is no gaurantee. Events in the past have garnered a lukewarm response to those wanting to race. Most want to watch. No big deal but more racers helps. The more VW's there (water and air) the better are chances of having a group run.

I'm probably only in the 15's right now, it would suck if i get lined up with a vette. I'll run, this might be enough of a push to upgrade my fuel system and get on ethanol.

Also, we (BAVWC) will put up $500 to be split 70/30. If folks racing wish to contribute or even better, or vw groups, the bigger the payout will be.

If you do bracket, I may be able to crack into the 24's with my 36'er
