took the notch for a spin, when i got back home I hopped out of the car and opened the trunk and engine lid then thanked the MS/coil packs for the awesome trip w:pw

that's funny, cause any time I blow the doors off a new car with 400+ hp and modern EFI, I thank my carbs and mechanical advance (Mallory) distributor. w:pw

Update:

Fuel sock was dirty and collapsed on itself. It had been repaired once before and it was rigged up. No test drive yet, but motor runs.

I discovered a design flaw with the way the gas tank mounts. its installed at a 45 degree angle and the fuel tap is no longer the lowest point on the tank. I would guess I have 5 usable gallons......I need a spun aluminum tank.

you could weld a port onto the low point and then plumb out from there...gain a couple of gallons of fuel capacity.
