that's funny, cause any time I blow the doors off a new car with 400+ hp and modern EFI, I thank my carbs and mechanical advance (Mallory) distributor.

Fuel sock was dirty and collapsed on itself. It had been repaired once before and it was rigged up. No test drive yet, but motor runs.

I discovered a design flaw with the way the gas tank mounts. its installed at a 45 degree angle and the fuel tap is no longer the lowest point on the tank. I would guess I have 5 usable gallons......I need a spun aluminum tank.

or change the mounts and make it fit right.

you could weld a port onto the low point and then plumb out from there...gain a couple of gallons of fuel capacity.
