Thought I would update here instead of hijacking my and other's posts, on the latest with the Ghia...

During assembly of the motor I trashed the distributor drive ring gear (brass) when I stabbed the distributor. So I tore the motor down another time (so many that I can't remember), replaces the brass gear.

Finally got the motor put together with the addition of a set of K-dogs.

During a drive to Candi's 30th birthday gtg, I lost power and and smoke was pouring out the back end. So I pulled over saw no fire and limped her back home. With James' assistance, we discovered that one of the float valves dropped in one of the bowls and the carbs were dumping copious amounts of fuel directly into the cylinders

So finally got it running again and took her to the GTG this past Sat. She ran really strong with a lot better low end than the previous 1500 I was running. On the way back that night and almost home, I lost power and pulled over.

Once again with James' assistance we discovered that the points had crapped out so he lent me his points and home I went.

I installed a compufire retrofit kit on the distributor and she is running again!

Anyone know where Pete Rasmussen's shop is located?

I was told he is pretty good with kadrons. I would like to get my Kadrons dialed in and not getting anywhere doing it myself.
