Sad to see it cut up. As it was my first oval and I regretted selling it. But if Meredith finishes it, I couldn't be happier! At least it didn't get scrapped :hillbilly:

Did you sell it to Henry? I thought he had it since the early 90's?

No I bought it from a friends son in Devine TX. It had been in his yard for 20 years when I bought it. I bought a 54 that appeared nicer, but turned out to be a turd. Jeff bought my 55 for his wife. MJM bought my 54. I came up on my og threefold. Always felt bad about selling this car though because of it's history. My buddy was gonna build it as his last bug. He was big and popular in the scene in the 80's. Vw Trends features etc. Sadly he had an accident that took his life. I bought the car after his funeral from his son Bro. Plannned on clipping in the threefold (had a clip). but traded up instead.

I've been so busy at work with getting ready for inventory in November that I hadn't touch the car is a long time. I messed with the car for a little bit this week. I bolted up the body and started to work on the pass. side door hinges so I can do a quick release pins.
