I think the only trick is to measure how far the old ones went out before you weld them in.

tunnel to bolt hole distance? Is this a problem with pans? Do they need to be narrowed sometimes?

I haven't done pans myself but I have seen others mess that up then they have to either go back and do it again or waller out the holes :hillbilly:

The ones I took out had mangled holes. Looked like since he put the pans in too far back he had to open the bolt holes up. I want to get it right for sure the first time!!!

We set the body back on and then tacked a few places. Then pulled the body off for final welding. Even doing that a little adjustment may be needed.

Good idea! I was thinking the same thing. Put the body on and put a couple bolts in to hold the pans in place. What did you use to seal the pans at the tunnel?

I have not yet ... I'm hoping to have the pans painted on Por15 then seam seal ... I was just going to go the auto parts for that . Do you have a idea?
