So I tried out the masterseries 2 part gloss black, I friggin love that stuff. Aside from having to mix it, it's way easier to lay it down compared to POR, and levels well.

Thanks buddy.

So a couple of weeks ago my alternator decided to start spitting out alternator belts. I noticed a bit, ok a whole lot, of play from the pulley shaft. I scored a 70a badass alternator a while back and planning on swapping it the next engine pull. Well type 4 motors are so awesome they don't need to be pulled out and fussed with, so today I nutted up and swapped it with the motor in. I had to take apart a lot of shit but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Here's what the 70a'er looks like:

I had to make some repairs on the harness that came with it. The 55a stock alternator has a sissy 10awg wire to the starter/battery. The new harness has a manly 8awg wire, ugh ugh ugh(Tim Allen style). I took it on a little shakedown test and had 13.7v the whole time. It didn't give 2 shits if I had my lights on and my wipers on too...13.7v. That was $50 well spent
