I haven't seen the car in person yet, but it looks like the current paint is in great shape.

not yet I have been clearencing the shock towers today, Im trying to get it back together so that i can get it out to paint but work has kept me busy the past few days.

work seems to do that doesnt it? also I havent heard back from the guy that paints and they are out of town til monday I think

Well I learned something today. 1961 had a one year only tank and a reserve it was an option in 61 for a fuel gauge. The car came with a reserve valve/lever so I assumed that it had a hump tank so I searched and found this beauty.




well it didnt fit so I did my homework and found that a 61 had a one year only tank, the difference being that it is similar to a 62-67 tank but does not have the cut out hole for the sending unit, and it has a reserve lever.
I never knew that a flat tank had a reserve lever. On another note I also learned that in the European market the standard version had a reserve lever up until 67.

yes it is, now I just need to buy an oval to put it in...Hmmmm.....sounds like a good excuse Hate to waste such a nice tank.
