Well its been awhile and not much done. Found a body guy who was willing to finish the bug, but discovered some things that the other shop did that needed to be corrected. I figured that going from one body shop to another there would be little things that the first shop did that the second shop thought were crap, but I did figure on what he pointed out and found!
At first he said that the other shop did a pretty good job so far until he noticed that the nose clip that was spliced in was twisted by about 2 inches. He said something to the order of "I might have to cut that clip off and start over .....". Pretty much after that is a blank. As he was playing with a chain and big puller bar to see if he could move it a big chunk of body filler cracked. The passenger side front quarter panel was pretty much bent up when I got the car. The first shop fixed it alright .... any more putty and I would call him a sculpter. I do not think I have ever seen that much bondo used. He didn't even try to fix it right! We spent the half hour heating it up and scrapping it off to bare metal. The next item was the bottom of the passenger door. The first shop spliced in a repair panel and in doing so must have gotten the door skin really hot and warped the hell out of it. Also the patch panel was done so bad the new shop is having to redo it. I think I could have done a better job.
The body shop did all his preliminary look over and we marked all the stuff that still needs to be done. Now I am waiting for him to complete a couple of jobs so he can work on my.

It sure does. If you take a look at the photo above, the finger cavity running back toward the finder mounting hole.... well was a hole in the body filler! :furious:
The new shop has already got a replacement panel and when cuts the old piece out he is going to straighten out the nose clip.
