Chris- your bus and ghia have a very similar paint scheme going on...tan/beige with iron oxide highlights :thumbs: :D

Yeah I treaded lightly over the rust. Actually it's rust run-off from the belt line and looks almost painted on :D

Doug you calling oxidized and powdery paint patina? That's the only thing that I have removed. All the rust or 'patina' won't be going anywhere until it's cut out. w:pw

Thought I would do my part and post something up since the board is pretty slow... :roll:

Been finding more time to get something's done on the bus, here lately

Finally was able to find a late 1970 fuse panel replacement (easier to pan for gold than to find one of these) and started installing it

Got as far as powering the radio; still need to hook up the wires from the column and turn switch

Then I took a break from the wiring nightmare and started to see how clean the headliner would get with a little oxy clean action.

Then finally got the one year only steering column/turnswitch housing installed; what a pain that was to find (PO daughter stole the original one long time ago... :furious: )
