If we had a way to go back in time, that parking lot would be like a "Grone Man's Chuckie Cheese" to all of us!

I got that 1.7L tore down to a short block and it's not stock:

It's a 1911cc, the case and heads were bored to fit the 96mm p/c's
hydro lifters
Erson Cam, I'm trying to find some specs on it
windage tray...that is stock on a euro spec 914

There are some definite assembly issues: 2 of the washers for the head bolts were missing, missing a oring behind the fan hub, the fan hub looks like it go loose and messed up the crank a little probably caused by the missing oring, front main seal looks like a re-re installed it, and not a single wavy washer was used. I'm going to blueprint the OG oil pump, replace most of the gaskets, get a hardware kit, clean and lub everything, and just hang on to it as a spare.

So with some help on STF I figured out what that Erson cam is .520" valve lift and duration is 280 degrees at .050" :wow:

That confirms it, whoever built this motor was a moron. I'm going to just get a mild cam and call it a day. Of course I'm going to a couple of my secret ninja tricks to the internals as well

The goal is to have a >100hp engine for <$500, I heart type 4 motors!

Stock this motor was 90x66, someone tried, errrr failed, at making a small displacement monster. Most guys run 96's, it's like 87's for you type 1ers. I'll snap some pics but it's just a chinese piston, nothing exciting. I should snap some pics of my forged 103mm p/c's that I got stashed away  .

Crap, it's been a bunch of minutes since I posted in this thread. Anyways, aside from a needed minor tune tweek the ninja notch ran awesome on the way up to Dallas and back. Lazaro made some badass bolt plates for my EFI setup. I cleaned them up and mocked up one of them. I'm waiting on a bigger countersink bit then I'll install them and see if they work better or worst.

Huge thanks to Lazaro
