Good looking ghia! and your plans (even though you are not chip foose) look great. Way better than I could ever draw.

When reunion finally occurs, how do I hold the body seal in place on all of the curves and bends in the pan? Once together I will likely use an exacto to cut the holes after the body is on.

Why does the Ghia gas door bend. I see this on many Ghias. Can it be bent back or should I replace it?

I will not be using my glove box. I have an awesome idea for the dash if I can pull it off. However, I want to keep the vehicle where a possible future owner could return it to completely stock. Any ideas on how can I secure the door in place, closed without the knob.

I used super glue to hold my seal to pan, then lowered the body down on it.

I'm sure zip ties could hold your glove box shut :hillbilly: or some double sided tape

I did this last night .. I used Super Yellow weatherstrip adhesive .... put some on the pan and then on the rubber .. let it dry some then put it together . you may need to clamp it down or lay some heavy on it. Smells great too.

thanks Nick, Wayne. I'll go for the glue and use the zip ties for something else.

Maybe I can use the zip ties to hold on the new paint?

Is there supposed to be something that the accelerator cable is routed within between the rear of the pan and the engine? The picture shows how it came but i think something is missing.
