SWEET! That being said, you sir have the most difficult VW to restore! Get onto the samba and post a build thread, there is also a couple of t34 specific websites as well as a t34 registry. Your going to need to network and get outside help to get even the simple things like window rubber. T34's are notorious for rusting out in the weirdest places, the speculation is the karmann plant primed over rusty sheet metal.

I found a guy that has window rubbers, also came across some t34 websites. I know parts are hard to find but looked fun and wanted a challenge. Not in a big rush to get it finished ;) ;) , wanted to do it up nice. But definitely will need to network for help, so any websites you know let me know.

what's the vin? that is one of the earliest I have seen, pinwheel drums all around. Awesome. I'm looking for a 34, I will never forget rolling through fullerton in a 64 sunroof T34, dropped on real raders, listening to AM oldies on the stock radio.

If you specifically run into small parts you need, let me know. I have some friends that cut one up a few months ago

Sweet thanks I will need help finding what is missing!! Its a June 1962.....

I've seen some nice custom t34, but I have read on some forums of "true t34 enthusiast" that think they have to remain pretty true to original. Any changes and watch out!!

Don't want to change it to drastically, just in case I ever wanna sell it. Later down the road that is.

There is a certain amount of "Stock Nazi"ism among the T3 group in general. You wanna start a riot, put a T1 conversion beam in there!!
To many the T3 is the pinnacle of VW air cooled technology.......

I was actually thinking of putting an air bagged T1 beam. I saw that on a samba forum, that it's a no no :nono: :nono:

The easiest way would be to shave the splines of the cross torsion arms and use air shocks.
