one small modification to what Doug said: your car has a dual circuit brake system, it therefore makes no difference if you do the front or rear brakes first, they are two completely independent systems.

I have to agree with Doug here. Unless their is some issue it hardly ever takes more than 30 min for me to bleed them. Their are things you need to check though. For example Jeremy was having issues with his brakes, he couldn't get them to bleed correctly. I stopped by took about 15 min to figure out that his pushrod was to long and was bypassing the rear circuit, once the pushrod length was adjusted correctly it took us less than ten min to bleed the system.

I've had issues with the pushrod length, you can adjust it at the brake pedal. Also, don't forget to adjust the brakes and keep checking them as you pump them.

I didn't even think of the dual circuit system, if you need help I may be able to stop by on the way to the shop from my first job.

Just for the record, Doug and Ethan, I'm calling shenanigans on you guys being able to bleed all 4 brakes in under 30 minutes :bs:  . I changed the rear wheel cylinders and it took longer then 30 minutes to bleed just the rears with full lines. BTW I always adjust my rear shoes so tight you can barely turn the wheel by hand.

I can honestly say that it has never taken me 4 hrs to bleed brakes on a type 1. I think the most common mistakes that people make is not adjusting the brakes properly this includes the pushrod as well as the drum to pad clearance. Its a extremely simple system, if they are not bleeding properly a lot of the time the issue lies elsewhere.

I guess I should have added the PR was adjusted as well as the rear brakes. This ain't my first rodeo, but both type 3's took me about 4 hours each, it's definitely no rocket science. I'll just let the professionals we have in the club handle it next time since I'm not up to the task.
