4-6 hours is excessive. By the first hour I would have already started trouble shooting where the air is being sucked in. Like I say I have NEVER spent 4 hours bleeding brakes much less 6. I can completely replace all brake system with all new lines cylinders and MC in 6

That's because you are more awesome then me.

Wayne- back on topic, give yourself a whole afternoon just to bleed your brakes. It might go smoothly, or it might be a total PITA.

No kidding, Ethan. If the system is right, it should go pretty quick... surely less than 1/2 hour.... regardless of how "awesome" you are

The one time it took me a while is because I wasn't adjusting the brakes tight enough. Once I did that, it worked.

Even with two people I just don't see it being a 30 minute job on a dry system, 4-6 hours seems about right, unless your using a mighty vac or pressurizing the reservoir then maybe. Also before I switched to silicone fluid, every year I flushed all the old fluid with fresh stuff, that never took half an hour either. I don't play around with brakes, I might use zipties to hold my throttle bodies on and that is OK because my life or my passengers life doesn't depend on that unlike brakes.

Doug and I have always done it together and other than when we had a screwed up master cylinder it only took 20-30 minutes with me pumping the breaks.
