Then we moved to the suspension. The car has a rack and pinion steering wheel which for this "track oriented" cars are really important, therefore having that as a basis we placed a serious suspension, big Porsche brakes and of course a uniball rear set up with lots of other small tricks in order to be able to fine tune the suspension depending the track, etc.

So basically at the moment this is where we standing
-Bodywork has finished – everything painted & fitted on the car.
-Lights have not been fitted yet
-Interior has finished with all gauges in place. Red leather on the dashboard, black headlining fitted, black carpeting is all in place (Front, rear seats & side cards have not been finished but I have bought the leather to re-upholster them 16 sqm)
-Suspension has finished and has been fitted on the car
-Brakes have finished including handbrake (hydraulic) and have been fitted on the car
-Alloys & tires ready on the car
-901 dogleg gearbox has been rebuilt with a Quaife LSD and has been fitted on the car, gearstick ready & fitted
-Engine short block, heads, etc have been assembled but not fitted on the car yet (Engine is currently sitting on the bench). We have not fitted the throttle bodies & the ECU. The idea was to originally run the engine for the first 5000km on carbs and then place the ecu with the throttle bodies in order to program them on the dyno. New wiring loom needs to be done. 911 fan has not been fitted on the engine yet, dry Sump has not been fitted; oil radiator has not been fitted, oil lines have not been fitted, oil breather box has not been fitted, exhaust system has not been fitted.

As you all know the economic situation in Europe and especially in GREECE, ITALY, SPAIN & PORTUGAL is a f....... mess. I decided to stop working on the car because of this situation. I cannot afford to spend all this money on it right now. I believe that after Christmas I will start again. If you have any questions please let me know. Well its not a Cal or Resto Cal look but its still an aircooled MONSTER

No still a bug. All parts are VW or VW derived (Porsche 8-))

In Europe not in the UK though, German Look cars are the works

I love the beefy suspension and brakes, definitely lots of money spent. Great results though! Keep us posted on updates...

 Wow, that is some amazing stuff! Nice work!
How much power do you expect that motor to make? Is it going to need race gas, that's a pretty high compression ratio?
