Wow, I didn't send them that email with any thought they would print it and pics of my car!
I didn't even send them any pics, I guess they got them off our website, which is kinda cool.
Thanks Chris for posting that. I guess now I need to buy that issue too

BTW, as an update on the car, I'm taking my time now that the show is over to fix some little issues. I added lash caps to the valves, so now I'm re-doing the geometry setup on the rockers. Also making some improvements to the Scat linkage system, which overall works pretty well but has a little room for improvement. I ordered a new alternator too, mine only puts out about 11.5V at idle and rarley goes above 12.5V volts. Hopefully I'll have her back on the road (again) by next week.

Would you happen to be doing a tech write-up on valve geometry set-up?

Mmmm, I hadn't planned on it, and I didn't take any pictures. I think I have pics from my last build, let me see what I have. Most people make it waaaay too complicated, IMHO. If I have pictures, I'll describe how I do it.

Just bought these for my car, along with a 55 metal tag. 600 bones!

Image

In California, they didn't always change the new plates for every year, so the 51 plates were printed/issued from 51 till 55. So from 52 to 55 you would get a little metal tag with the year on it to cover up the 51. Another issue with the 51 plates is that they started using the sequence on them (one number, a letter, and five numbers) on commercial vehicle plates, and they re-used a lot of the numbers from the 51 plates. So a lot of pairs of 51 plates cant be registered. All those factors drive the cost of these plates way up, but what's a guy to do? :P
